Attack & Defense events are among the most fun-to-play Capture the Flag (CTF) competitions. However, due to their highly dynamic and fast-paced nature, they come with a high barrier to entry as players need reasonable skills in multiple domains and require additional infrastructure to assist during the events. Hosting such events, on the other side, is just as challenging. All of this contributed to a shrinking popularity of A/D CTFs.
In an effort to "make A/Ds great again", this wiki attempts to provide points-of-reference for both people wanting to play and host A/D CTFs. This includes a tooling list, tactics (also some meta-gaming strategies) which you may want to use while playing, a reference of different A/D frameworks and how to deploy them, and some lessons-learned from prior CTFs.
